Gotta Have Jesus

Am I A Sinner?

Sin is something in me that causes me to do bad things like lying, cheating, stealing, and disobeying. God hates sin. We can't hide it from Him. Sin leads to eternal separation from God in hell. The Bible tells us All have sinned (Romans 3:23) and The wages (punishment) of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

What Shall I Do About My Sin?

I cannot give God something to make Him forget about my sin, and I can't do enough good things to earn my way into heaven. The Bible says He saved us, not because of righteous (good) things we had done, but because of His mercy (Titus 3:5).

God Has Done Everything

God gave His Son Jesus Christ to be my Savior. God put Jesus on a cross to die for my sin in my place. Jesus paid for all my sin by dying, shedding His blood, and then rising from the grave and going back to heaven. The Bible says But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8),

God Asks Me To Believe And Trust Him To Take Away My Sin

Believing is trusting what God did for me. When I believe that His death was for me, He gives me eternal life, and when I die I will go to live with Him in heaven forever. The Bible tells us For God so loved the world that he gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Will you believe and trust now that Jesus died in your place? Will you accept Him as your Savior? If you have, tell Him what you have done. You may pray a prayer similar to this: "Dear God, I know that you love me. I know I am a sinner. Thank you for sending Jesus to accept the punishment for my sin and die in my place. I turn away from my sin and believe and trust in Jesus as my Savior and Lord. In Jesus' name I pray, amen." After you have received Jesus as your Savior, tell a Christian pastor or another Christian about your decision. Show others your faith in Jesus by joining a Christian church and asking for baptism according to Jesus' example.

You Can Never Lose Your Salvation

Being saved does not mean that you will now live a perfect life. When you make a mistake and sin, don't think that God will take away your salvation. The Bible assure us that I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish, neither shall any may pluck (take) them out of my hand (John 10:28). Just pray and ask God to forgive you of the sin you committed and turn away from that sin (try not to do it again). Attending church regularly, studying the Bible, and praying every day will help make you a stronger Christian.
